Short and Sweet, Ali Dean's TV show, started 18 years ago on the television station, Tanin. He would air every Friday night at midnight playing a variety show of different skits comparative to our very own Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Seven years ago, Short and Sweet was moved to satellite TV where it was broadcast on NITV. Making its succession as one of Iran's more popular shows, the most requested character portrayed by Ali Dean was and still is, Hajagha Miranarkie.

In September of 2004, Short and Sweet was moved to its current location on Didar T.V. every Thursday night at 8 p.m. (Pacific Time) until 9:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
